Researchers at our laboratory have succeeded in coupling coherently a microwave photon and a hole spin qubit in silicon. This result opens the way to the remote entanglement of two spins using a microwave photon as a mediator of the quantum interaction. This could be advantageous for the realization of quantum processors based on silicon spin qubits.
