Research subjects
Specialist of Physic of semiconductors and nanostructures, especially their optical properties, his interests include nano-fabrication, optimization of growth conditions to improve the optical properties, exploration of possibilities of using nano-emitters for quantum optics. His current research activities include in particular,  (i) the development of efficient room temperature single-photons with II-VI semiconductor nanowire-quantum dots, (ii) the control of the emission properties of quantum dots by plasmonic nanostructures. His interests have recently expanded to hybrid nano-architectures of colloidal nanoparticles and he is coordinating the CEA project (DRF-Impulsion) HybriDimer which explores the formation of hybrid structures of nanoparticles using DNA as linker and spacer material in order to precisely control plasmonic interactions. This multidisciplinary project involves chemists, physicists and biologists of two laboratories of CEA Grenoble-INAC, SyMMES (Chemistry) and PHELIQS (Physics).

He has coordinated 2 ANR (French National Research Agency) projects:
BONAFO (Dots in Nanowires for Optic), 2009-2011, whose targets are to acquire the growth control of heterostructures in nanowires (with InAsP, CdZnSe and AlGaN), to get a deep understanding of their optical fundamental properties and to evaluate their advantages for opto-electronic applications.
MagWires (Magnetic semiconductor quantum dots in nanoWires) 2011-2015, which aims at developing a new class of magnetic semiconductor quantum dots based on nanowires and at exploring both the intrinsic properties of magnetic polarons (exciton coupled with localized magnetic ions) and the possibilities and limits of their stabilization in confined geometries.
