CEA Research Director in the fields of nanophotonics and semiconductor nanostructures.

Present research topics
Physics of semiconductor quantum dots
Cavity quantum electrodynamics (CQED) with quantum dots
- Spontaneous emission control in photonic wire nanocavities
- Ultrafast all-optical switching of microcavity modes and of CQED effects
Novel devices for Quantum Technologies
- QD sources of single photons and entangled photon pairs
- Superconducting nanowire single photon detectors on SOI chips
- G and W color centers in SOI as integrated single photon sources

Academic cursus:
• Sept. 1982-Sept. 1986: Ecole polytechnique, Palaiseau
• June 1986: DEA in Solid-State Physics of Paris VI and Paris XI-Orsay Universities
• Sept. 1990: PhD degree granted by Paris VI University, for a work performed at the French Telecommunications Research Center (Bagneux, France): "Growth by molecular beam epitaxy and optical study of the electronic properties of highly-strained InAs/GaAs semiconductor heterostructures".

Positions:
• 09/1990 – 09/2001: Researcher at the French Telecommunications Research Center (CNET until 1999), and at France Telecom R&D Laboratories, Bagneux, France.
• 09/2001 – now: Researcher at CEA-Grenoble
• 09/2001 – 10/2005: Head of the "Physics of Semiconductors" laboratory, and of the CEA-CNRS-UJF joint research team "Nanophysics and Semiconductors"
• 10/2005 – 12/2015: Head of the Physics of Materials and Microstructures Laboratory (SP2M, a research lab of CEA and Joseph Fourier University, staff ~120)
• 01/2016 – 2019: Head of Quantum Photonics, Electronics and Engineering Laboratory (PHELIQS, a research laboratory of CEA and University Grenoble Alpes, staff~120 personnes)
